A former shuttle bus driver at the Salt Lake City International Airport has filed suit against his former employer, alleging that he was mistreated and fired due to his religious beliefs.
Bill Riordan, a member of the National Spiritualist Church, claims that his supervisor had made several derogatory and insulting comments about his religion in front of other employees. He claims that he was fired in June 2004, not because of job performance, but due to his religion. Riordan’s lawsuit seeks to have him reinstated in his job, as well as damages and back pay.
